Catastrophe Adjusting and Training
Catastrophe adjusting is an exciting field that requires a unique skillset. We are proud to offer our employees the opportunity to work in this growing field, where they add value and help those who have experienced devastating losses recover from them as quickly and easily as possible.
For you to be successful as a catastrophe adjuster, it’s important that you have strong communication skills and knowledge of insurance policies. You also need good organizational abilities so that you keep track of all your paperwork without missing anything important!
We offer training for new and veteran adjusters. Our goal is to train adjusters for the purpose of servicing our claims. Cross Country handles over 100,000 CATs and daily claims a year nationwide. The advantage of training with Cross Country is when training is completed you have priority use for our firm claims when and if the need arises. Adjusters who complete our training are on first call for all major CAT deployments and travel to help people in their time of need.
Catastrophe Adjusting Process
We have adjusters with valuable expertise readily available in your area for all your estimating and reporting needs. Cross Country Adjusting now proudly serves the 48 contiguous states, so no matter where you are located, we are there to help!
The moment our office receives notice of loss, our process begins. Initial contact is attempted within one hour, and the claim is assigned to a qualified adjuster who schedules the inspection that same day. Our adjusters are trained to think and adjust like staff adjusters, identifying the cause of loss and gathering all facts associated with the claim. Once the field inspection occurs, the adjuster — per carrier guidelines — settles the claim onsite with the insured or submits the report/estimate back to the carrier for approval. If needed, we have the ability to connect live with the desk adjuster from the property via video stream, so the desk adjuster gets instant feedback on the loss severity and immediate needs of the insured.
Our field is just like any other in that it is always evolving alongside technological advances. The use of technology has allowed us to increase desk adjusted claims by more than 200 percent in the past two years. This allows for the insured to experience a better claim process while reducing cost and cycle times for the claim. Through the use of our proprietary claims management system and downloadable APP, the insured follow the claim process from start to finish, getting instant updates on the claim status. Through our APP, the insured can also receive a photograph and contact information for the adjuster, giving them peace of mind on who they are letting into their home.
As technology changes our landscape, we continue to stay on top of the trends and keep our employees trained and in the know on the latest advancements and tools.
Cross Country Adjusting is proud to offer the best catastrophe adjusting services in the industry, and we are committed to providing you with a superior experience. If you have any questions about our services, training and hiring process, or would like more information, please contact us today!
